Make it a point to properly prepare your flashlight when you pack for your trip. Your flashlight’s power switch can be easily turned on by mistake while you search through your bag. To prevent this, load batteries into the flashlight backwards. This prevents the flashlight from coming on and will ensure it is ready for use when needed. Pack every necessity your pet will require, if they camp with you. You’re going to need to be able to restrain them just in case they feel like running after another animal. A leash is probably also a good idea. In addition, make sure to have records of your pet’s health conditions, vaccinations and any medications your friend might need. Clean water, food bowls and meals will be required. It is necessary and kind to clean up behind them also.
When camping near running water, take care of any private business downstream from your camp. This makes sure your waste won’t get into the water that goes near your campsite. In addition, you should be more than 100 yards from where you are camping when you use the bathroom.
